The National Drought Mitigation Center is asking farmers to report drought impacts in their area.

The National Drought Mitigation Center launched the Drought Impact Reporter (DIR) in July 2005 which is where anyone can go to report drought impacts they are experiencing in their area. Along with meteorological information these reports are used to make drought designations. Each level of drought intensity comes with additional assistance for producers and municipalities, so it is important for them to have accurate information to work with.
